PAPI Light

The Precision Approach Path Indicator (PAPI Light) is an essential aviation aid. It consists of a set of light units, usually four, placed beside the runway. The PAPI lights provide visual guidance to pilots during approach. The lights are red or white, and their color configuration indicates the aircraft's position relative to the correct glide path. If the aircraft is on the correct path, all lights appear white. As the aircraft descends too low or high, the lights change to red, alerting the pilot to make adjustments.
